Visited by tourists from all over the globe, the Parque Nacional Tortuguero is a major turtle nesting site in Costa Rica. Probably the most important nesting area in the Western Hemisphere of the endangered green turtle, the amazing Parque Nacional Tortuguero is located on Costa Rica’s beautiful Caribbean coast in the northeastern region of the country.
The park is home to around 175 species of reptiles and amphibians, this park is also the habitat of 70 species of mammals and 250 different types of birds as well. A wonderful place for bird watching, both migratory and native birds can be seen throughout this park.
