Scuba diving in Costa Rica has began to draw international notoriety as more and more divers head to this paradise for an underwater adventure. The most popular dive site has to be the spectacular Isla del Cano. This island is located only 12 miles off the southern Pacific coastline, and can be easily accessed from Drake bay. While at Cano Island you will be able to see both open ocean and reef fish. Depending on when you go you may can see humpback and pilot whales, many kinds of dolphins, reef sharks, silky sharks, bull sharks and if your lucky the enormous and docile whale sharks. This place was awesome. I forgot my open water cert and since they are PADI instructors they were more than happy to pull my info online. They really saved my trip. Thanks guys!

I’ve learned the hard way by forgetting my cert too. However I discovered that most scuba shops can pull it up online. Good info to know just in case you go through a non-PADI place for your dive.
