Traveling Tips for Costa Rica
We recommend to review the following checklist prior to your trip to the country of Costa Rica. When traveling to any foreign country, it is smart to do your homework on the local culture prior to your trip as well.You MUST have a passport/visa to travel to Costa Rica. If you don’t have one, you should apply for one immediately. If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication. The roads throughout Costa Rica are winding with drastic elevation changes.
Packing List
Ladies:
1. Daily wear should include light-weight tops with Capri length pants, summer shorts, or skirts.
2. At least 2 swimsuits.
3. Lightweight beachwear for over swimsuits. Shorts & sleeveless or thin shirts, wraps or cover-ups.
4. 1 pair of water shoes or other secure fitting water safe shoe for hiking.
5. Other comfortable summer-type shoes. Flip flops or sandals.
6. Light-weight sleepwear.
7. One very light jacket, sweater, or long-sleeved over shirt.
Men:
1. Summer-type clothing such as light-weight shirts and wrinkle-free shorts.
2. At least 2 pair of swim trunks.
3. A hat or cap.
4. 1 pair of water shoes or other secure fitting water safe shoe for hiking.
5. Other comfortable summer shoes.
6. One very light jacket or over shirt.
Toiletries: In addition to the usual everyday items, sunscreen, insect repellent, travel umbrella, and a small first aid kit should be included.
